Work experience
We offer up to six 1-2 week placements within our studio each year. These opportunities are particularly suited to Higher Education students (BA or MA) or early career professionals.
For the duration of the placement, you will have the opportunity to work on live artist fabrication projects. Depending on the particular work we are doing at the time, that could be: working with casting materials, painting, making moulds, updating social media/website, supporting logistics around the installation of artwork.
You will be joining us working in the creative working environment in Spike Island Artspace in Bristol. (unfortunately, due to our type of work, we do not offer remote placements.)
You will have the opportunity to use and improve your skills, see how large-scale artistic projects are realised, and gain insights into running a busy fabrication studio.
